Surviving the Full Moon in Scorpio (Especially if you are a Scorpio XD)

All my life, I’ve been intrigued by Astrology. It has truly become the cusp of my concentration since beginning my metaphysical and Spiritual journey. That is why I am so excited to talk about the closely approaching Full Moon in Scorpio. We are currently getting through the Taurus Sun, and opposite of Taurus sits the intensely mysterious and compulsive Scorpio. You can expect a lot from this Full Moon, which will be at its maximum visibility on Saturday, May 18.
The zodiac sign Scorpio is known to be one of the most intense and mysterious signs of all the Zodiac. It is a water sign, and like its Cardinal and Mutable counterparts, those born under the Fixed sign are highly intuitive. Scorpios are known to be impulsive, doing things more so for the experience rather than for financial or powerful gain. Scorpios are very emotionally intense creatures but can also have a hard, impenetrable shell which can make them very hard to read. Because of this, Scorpios tend to avoid dealing with their own problems and deep-rooted traumas. Scorpios are known to be healers to some, however, have a hard time in areas of self-love because they have a hard time dealing with their own Shadows.
A Full Moon in Scorpio will affect people differently, depending on how Scorpio interacts with you in your own life. If you were born under the Scorpio Sun (October 23-Nov 21), you can expect the Full Moon to affect anything dealing with your personality and ego. If you were born under a Scorpio Moon, you can expect the Full Moon to affect your emotional state and your psychic nature. If you were born under a Scorpio Ascendant, you can expect this Full Moon to deal with the root of any problem you are not trying to face.
So, what can we do to get through the Full Moon in Scorpio? How can we use this energy to help us expand our thinking while increasing our metaphysical abilities?
First and foremost, as this Full Moon approaches DO NOT HIDE YOUR EMOTIONS FROM YOURSELF. This moon can force some uncomfortable trauma to the surface of our minds. This is a great time to get to the root of the problems you may not be facing. Do not give yourself shallow answers. You need to be real with yourself. Allow this Full Moon Energy to give you the strength to ask yourself the difficult questions and receive the painful answers. You could also do some Shadow Work after this full moon to follow-up with any work you may to this night. Release the pain. Don’t hold on to it.
If you have been having a hard time focusing, the Full Moon in Scorpio is a great time to work on sharpening your mind. During the Full Moon, grab a piece of Clear Quartz and/or Green Calcite and charge them under the Full Moon. While charging, meditate under the Full Moon. If you are working on any projects, meditate on that project. If you’re having hard time focusing in general, clear your mind and ask Spirit to help you focus. Meditate under the Full Moon for at least 10 minutes and continue charging your crystals through the night. Carry the Clear Quartz and Calcite with you whenever you are doing something that needs your complete focus. They will help you maintain concentration and complete your tasks and goals.
Full Moon in Scorpio means an increase in subconscious activity and psychic ability. Your mind will be opening itself up to you during this Full Moon. Your emotions will also be very high around this time. During this time of high emotional energy, try not to project your emotions onto others. This can be difficult when your energy is being amplified by the influence of the Full Moon, but make sure you are taking time to meditate and be present. This will help with any feelings of confusion.
Overall, Full Moon in Scorpio is an exciting time of self-discovery, self-love, and increased intimacy with others and with self. On the evening of May 18, we will have an opportunity to travel through the waters of our authentic selves.  My hope is that we all, along with the help of the Scorpio Full Moon, become the best versions of our magical selves.
