Vivid dreams, lucid dreams, nightmares, and the like, have become the norm not only for myself but other people I have spoken to within the last few weeks.
These occurrences have been exacerbated by the energy that Mercury retrograde brought us a few weeks back when it stationed retrograde at 29° Pisces on March 5th and formed a conjunct with the Piscean ruler, Neptune, not once but TWICE. This is very rare, especially as we know it for our generation because Neptune hasn’t been in the second decanate (11°-20°) of Pisces since the 1850s. Also of note, Mercury hasn’t been conjunct Neptune in the sign of Pisces since April of 1861.
For my history & astrology buffs out there:
Mercury had a similar transit (where it traveled in retrograde motion while passing Neptune in Pisces twice) in 1861 when it stationed retrograde on March 3rd, 1861. Interestingly enough, Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated as the 16th president of the United States the following day, March 4th 1861. Mercury then proceeded with retrograde motion on March 6th of 1861 - the same day that the Confederate Congress established the Confederate Army. The only difference in 1861 was that Mercury stationed retrograde at 0° Aries (the FIRST degree of the zodiac) while Neptune was at 28° Pisces (third decanate). This year, 2019, Mercury stationed retrograde at 29° Pisces (the LAST degree of the Zodiac) while Neptune was at 16° Pisces (second decanate). Pretty interesting, right?
This Mercurian energy we had in March, combined with the dreamy illusionary quality of Neptune has opened the eyes of many people with the increased prevalence of vivid dreams, and for some: nightmares. Although Mercury is well out of the sign of Pisces and is far from making a conjunct with Neptune, this energy still persists.... and there’s a reason why.
At current, the passionate, fiery planet of Mars is forming a square (90° angle) with watery Neptune. This creates tension between these two celestial bodies in such a way that allows their energies to clash.
Mars is passionate and impulsive with his energy and the ruler of the cardinal fire sign, Aries.
Mercury embodies a conscious and inquisitive energy while ruling the mutable air sign we know as Gemini.
These two planets are currently in each other’s homes: Mars is in Gemini and Mercury is in Aries AND the two are forming a sextile or 60° angle with one another. This creates a harmony between the two planets in that they feed off of each-others energy and work together.
... all while Mars makes his 90° with Neptune.
Mercury (thoughts/ mind/ thought process) +
Mars (creative energy/ force/ assertion) +
Neptune (confusion/ illusion/ dreams/ inspiration) =
The energies of each planet clash and mend with each other in such a way creating the perfect storm for weird dreams and nightmares that as of recent, seem to be persistently affecting the collective as we know it.
To purify the mind, wear/meditate with amethyst. (Place under pillow)
To alleviate nightmares, wear/meditate with green Prehnite. (Place under pillow)
For mental clarity and focus, wear/meditate with rainbow fluorite.
My mind is clear and focused; sleep brings me rest, not fear.
Third Eye Chakra
Lavender – magical uses aid with: sleep, antianxiety, protection and purification.
Associated with the planet Mercury.
Dress a purple or white candle with lavender herb and/or oil and light on a Wednesday.
Steep lavender herb in hot water and drink as a tea.
Use lavender essential oil in an oil diffuser when you sleep.
Place drops of lavender on your pillowcase before sleep and/or place lavender herb in a satchel and place under your pillow.
This aspect will last until May 9th, 2019.
However, Neptune will stay in his watery home of Pisces until the year 2025, so his energy will continue to linger to some capacity for the collective.

Venus - the planet that embodies beauty, love and shows us value in life - has moved into the fiery cardinal sign of Aries.
What’s significant is that we have Chiron in the first decanate of Aries at 3°. Venus is closing in on a conjunct with Chiron as she moves into Aries which creates a period in astrology that we refer to as a “Cinderella Transit”.
Cinderella Transits are very prosperous times. This happens whenever Chiron forms a harmonious aspect (conjunction, trine or sextile) with benefic planets like Venus, Jupiter or Neptune.
If you have this placement in your natal chart - lucky you!
Just like with Cinderella as all her dreams seemed to come true with a wish - beautiful dress, danced with a prince, found love etc. - this transit can bring similar luck to the collective.
During a Cinderella transit, there is a high probability of falling in love, finding true love, success with work, and also an influx of luck or money.
I will add, however, that Venus rules the fixed earth sign of Taurus. As we all know, the sun just moved into the sign of Taurus on April 20th and formed a conjunct with the planet of change, Uranus (ruler of Aquarius). This will add a different flair to this Cinderella Transit as we know it, so be mindful.
Impulsivity, poor choice making, and risk taking are all still at bay with Uranus in Taurus despite the harmonious luck-bringing conjunction between Venus and Chiron.
For strong will, wear/meditate with yellow calcite and/or citrine.
For being open to receive love, wear/meditate with rose quartz.
For good luck, wear/meditate with green adventurine and/or jade.
I radiate love and attract abundance.
Solar Plexus Chakra
Cardamom – magical uses bring forth: fearlessness, strength, focus, love & creativity.
Associated with the planet Venus.
Steep cardamom pods in hot water and drink as a tea.
Dress a pink or green candle with the seeds and/or oil and light on a Friday.
The Cinderella Transit will last until May 3rd, 2019.

We all start this life with a purpose.
Our soul functions on a much higher plane than our physical being, however, many individuals who are not aware of fulfilling their soul’s purpose spend their whole lives fulfilling their worldly goals and aspirations.
Career status, public reputation, worldly aspirations – these are some aspects of life that people dedicate their whole lives to perfect. As we understand in astrology, looking at an individual’s Medium Coeli (MC, “middle of the sky”) or Midheaven can give us insight into the type of energy that individual puts forth towards his or her career or public reputation. The MC is always opposite the Imum Coeli (IC, “bottom of the sky”) or Nadir which shows us the behaviors we take from our childhood/upbringing. The IC embodies the energy and the behaviors that we use as we grow and mature towards our MC. They are on opposite ends of the MC/IC axis respectively.
One part of the natal chart that often gets ignored are the North and South Nodes. Just as the MC/IC axis shows us what we are growing away from and growing towards from a materialized point of view, the North and South nodes do the same but from a spiritual point of view. Think of the North Node as our soul’s Midheaven. The North Node is our soul’s purpose. The house where our north node lie gives us insight into what area of our life we need to focus on, while the zodiac sign tells us what energy we should embody when working to achieve fulfill our soul’s purpose. Focusing on our North Node will show the universe that we are learning the lessons that we failed to learn in our past life. Our South Node represents the behaviors we brought from our past life that that we need to grow away from. These are behaviors that we need to let go of because they no longer serve us spiritually. It is believed that our south node embodies karmic energy from our previous life.
There’s a caveat.
It is impossible to work towards our soul’s true purpose (North Node) without acknowledging the part of ourselves that requires healing to let go of complacent and self-destructive behaviors (South Node); both ends of the spectrum need to be addressed. Also known as the Dragon’s Head (North Node) and Dragon’s Tail (South Node), each end has its significance in our spiritual journey.
There’s more to life than being a well-known, successful, wealthy individual - this fulfills our physical and worldly aspirations. What about our North Node and our spiritual aspirations? We cannot ignore this aspect of our journey.
I wanted to address the significance of the moon’s nodes because this year will be a major turning point in the collective coming more to terms with spirituality. Some of you may have already noticed the mainstream acceptance of themes like crystal healing, astrology, etc. This can partly be attributed to the presence of Neptune in his home sign of Pisces. Pisces is the ultimate sign of spiritual awareness and wholeness. Neptune will be in Pisces until the year 2025, and quite frankly, this movement towards mass spirituality will continue for the duration of his stay in Pisces.
More importantly, we have two planets that are in conjunction with the current South Node in the sign of Capricorn: Pluto and Saturn - both of which will station retrograde before the end of April 2019. Pluto brings forth energy of massive transformation and change, but in a subdued/discreet way. Pluto shows us how we can make new from the old and also shows us the refreshing act of being born again and starting anew. Also known as the co-ruler of Scorpio, Pluto is all about shedding old skin as we see Scorpions do in nature. Saturn, on the other hand, shows us our perceived limits. He shows us where we need to focus our attention to grow while making uncomfortable. This discomfort brings forth growth and also facilitates change. Saturn can be likened to a tough-loving father. As the ruler of the sign Capricorn, he shows us that complacency brings stagnant energy and embodies the term “hard-working”. He also rules the concept of time which provides structure to our life as we know it. In Greek Mythology, the other name for Saturn is Kronos which means “time”. No coincidence, this is where the root of the word “chronological” comes from.
Imagine for a second:
You have a three-piece set of rolling luggage, a backpack, a duffle bag, a fanny pack, five grocery bags, a messenger bag and a purse.
You have some bags on your back, over your shoulder, and in your hands, as you balance some bags stacked on top of the rolling luggage. You push these in front of you as you drag the rest of the baggage behind you.
You have been walking for walking for so many miles that you’ve lost count and you’ve grown increasingly tired.
The walk is too long to bear, but you keep faith and keep treading along with all your prized possessions and your ego intact.
In front of you, a small car pulls up and there are two people inside. The driver rolls down the window and says “let’s go! I can give you a ride.” The person in the passenger seat makes eye contact with you and points to his watch as if to imply “I don’t have all day”.
You’re standing there looking at the car because you notice the car has a very small trunk with limited space. What do you leave behind? What will you bring?
What if I told you Pluto is the person driving the car? He’s all about growth and change, right? He’s willing to help you reach your destination expecting nothing in return. Inadvertently, he pushes you to ponder on what you don’t need to bring with you on your journey – his car has no space to accommodate all of your baggage. What if I told you that Saturn is the person sitting in the passenger’s seat, pointing at his watch? He invokes a sense of urgency to the situation which makes you feel rushed and slightly uncomfortable as you think about the decision you are now faced to make. What if I told you that they are driving towards the North Node, the very place you have been trying to reach but have had difficulty due to all of the extra baggage you have been lugging along the way?
A lot of us are at this spiritual equivalent to a crossroads - being faced to make a decision that is crucial for our growth. Many of us are delaying our own process.
What are in those bags you need to let go of? What is holding you back? What has caused complacency and inertia on your journey towards your spiritual path? Are you meditating on your goals? Are you cleansing your aura so as to not grow distracted of the task at hand?
In acknowledging my own spiritual growth, I have concluded that this inertia is facilitated by the neglect of our south node energy. In focusing so much on what we have to grow towards spiritually (north node), we become blinded to all of the behaviors that we need to let go of first (south node). All of these behaviors represent the proverbial baggage we have been dragging with us. The ideas and perceptions that have grown to be so comforting are the same perceptions that are holding us back from reaching our spiritual destination.
As the sun leaves Aries season and we start Taurus season just at the end of a second Libra full moon (second Libra full moon since the start of the Astrological New Year), we are being asked to re-evaluate what is really of value to us. What can help us grow? What baggage should we leave behind? Libra’s lunar energy gives us the ability to weigh both sides of the picture, analyze our own growth and also how others can help us during this process. The sun (our ego) is creating a square or a 90-degree angle to this South Node/Pluto/Saturn conjunction in the sign of Capricorn which brings greater awareness to the process of us needing to grow away from our past. This sun/south node aspect showcases how flawed our ego/perception has really been. Did we really think that we could successfully complete our journey while carrying all our hurt, our wounds, and our sorrows with us? Did we really think this would be possible without putting forth work towards healing said wounds?
It’s a tough pill to swallow.
Doing the inner work, acknowledging our shortcomings and what no longer serves us spiritually, will be key during this Pluto/Saturn/South Node conjunction and the remainder of 2019. This conjunction will last for majority of this year as Saturn maintains a close conjunction with the South Node until November of this year, 2019.
Holistic healing practices such as meditation will allow us to communicate with our higher selves while creating a pathway of communication to our angels and our ancestors as they guide us on our spiritual journey. Yoga can also help with meditation and concentration as we focus on deep breathing while stretching our bodies past perceived limitations. Crystal healing helps for us to balance our energetic centers (Chakras) so that we can act from a grounded demeanor, so as not to be swayed by negative energies that can become so easy to absorb. Grounding stones like black tourmaline and red jasper are great stones to use when meditating. Selenite is also a great staple to any crystal collection as it helps to cleanse the space it’s in, as well as any other crystals around it. Cleansing our living space and aura with Sage, Cedar, Juniper, Palo Santo, Florida Water, and incense are all good practice to keep our auras in check and our chakras aligned. One of my favorite ways to cleanse is with a good salt bath. You can add essential oils and herbs to your bath as well. Lavender is great for anxiety; it helps to calm us an also awakens our third eye and crown chakras. Herbs like calendula and rosemary are great to add to a bath or to candles for cleansing purposes. Oil diffusers and salt lamps are also good staples to add to your living space. Meditate on your practice to find what feels right for you and follow what spirit tells you.
I should also mention that a lot of the healing and inner work that we face before us is not only for ourselves but for those in our bloodline who traversed this world before us; we have inherited their spiritual debts. It is in our best interest to acknowledge this and do the healing, not only for ourselves but for our families. Many of us who are currently on our spiritual journey are breaking generational curses, and for this reason it may feel rather difficult to let go of the baggage we have been dragging with us.
Be sure to start each day with gratitude and meditation so as to give yourself a clear mind to face the day and heal yourself and those around you. Journaling your thoughts and experiences during this process can also help to put things in perspective. Writing down behaviors that you want to let go of on a piece of paper and burning it on the night of a new moon can also help to plant seeds of intention in regards to healing.
Ultimate growth towards our soul’s purpose stems from a place of healing the deepest recesses of our soul that are inadvertently holding us back. It is not an easy process, but an imperative one nonetheless.
