Welcome to the first full moon right before the Winter Solstice. This Full moon is known by many names - some including Frost Moon, Beaver Moon and the Mourning Moon. All three names associated with this particular Full moon resonates with my soul and the fact that all three names are connected to this powerful full moon on November 23, 2018 at approximately 1:10 a.m. Est which falls within the Gemini sign (the twins)
The birds are ready to take flight and in route to make it to the south for warmer temperatures. The first frost of winter is settling in or the first snow fall has already begun, now that harvest season is over its time for us to bring the harvest that we reap into formation under the dark shadow of the energy from the moon that shines so ever bright. Our days of long daylight has ended, we are at the heights of balance that our universe has blessed us so kindly with. This full moon will provide us with enough light and energy to still focus on accepting our shadow and understanding our self-reflection. This moon will be working in ways to speak to your divine feminine to help you pull out your truest purest feelings within yourself. So be patient and take on the strength of the Gemini, who are known for their amazing communication skills..
In order to use the energy of this full moon you have to dig deep inside and strip yourself to the bare bones in order to release the deep-rooted issues that has been causing your energy to remain at a standstill. In a way it is like the beavers during this time they are getting things prepared under the moon light to build their dams these wonderful creatures become like busy bodies in the month of November to ensure that everything is in place for the winter season and their safety is intact for them to emerge again in the spring.
This moon is a true stepping stone for what is next in line to come. Just like we know spring is coming but we have already placed it in our minds that spring is so far away; somehow manages to bring us to a point of where we have a sense of loss within ourselves because so much darkness tends to consume our energy levels due to rapid crisp changes in the air. It really reminds me of grief like a mourning period because we have lost our warmer days. As we sit here at a loss, we begin to lose all momentum by dreaming and wishing for one more day of the hot air kissed by the sun to touch our skin one more time.
The universe has a way of letting us know that everything has it seasons (nature) everything has it phases (Moon) everything within the universe is working together to provide the necessary steps for us to maintain balance in our lives.
During the beaver moon for myself I ask these questions...
What is the root issue?
What am I afraid of?
What do I have to forgive?
What will it take to accept the rooted issue and let it go?
What are the next steps to keep myself grounded?
How to comfort and heal thy self?
How to be patience and understanding the feelings inside has it seasons?
What do I really want in my journey?
