Many modern witches struggle with practicing their craft while they maintain their everyday responsibilities. Magic and faith fall behind keeping food on the table.
There is no shame in putting your practices on hold to focus on work and family, but when you are ready to pick it back up how do you get back in the groove?
After a move to another state I have struggled with picking up my craft again. Magic and witchcraft demand a place in my life. I can feel when not following my path starts to affect me and i'm definitely not the only one.
There are a few way great ways to reconnect to your craft!
Things like a (re)dedication ceremony, where you interact with your deities in your own space and let them know you are serious about your path and serious about your spiritual growth, and your renew your commitment to them. This type of ritual is becoming more popular with witches as they look for a way to deepen their connection with universe/Goddess etc..
Here is a link to a wonderful Dedication ceremony from Fellow witch Moonwater: https://goddesshasyourback.com/2014/11/28/simple-wiccan-dedication-ritual/
Setting up an alter space is also a great way to connect to your magical self. Many witches find meditation a very helpful to connect to their higher self.
This path will alway encourage you to grow and change. Your higher self will always welcome change, but the universe will always force change and bouncing back from that to a place where your magic can flourish can be a struggle but with an open heart and a calling for something bigger then yourself you can find your way back to your magical path!
