The Full Moon is essential for change: it helps with transformations and releasing old energies that are
no longer needed. Building on intentions set during the New Moon, the two weeks leading up to the Full
Moon set things in motion to achieve our new normal. Sometimes, these intentions are easy to
manifest. Other times, we struggle to keep our intentions clear and fight to forge a path forward.
This Full Moon gives us a unique opportunity. With the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Sagittarius, we
have the ability to shed the lower energies of both signs. Gemini rules the third house of
communication, and when integrated with the energy of the Sagittarius Full Moon, provides us with
researcher-like energy: inquisitive, non-judgemental and open to possibilities. The low side of this
energy is judgment, close-mindedness, and ungrounded energy. To release this kind of low vibrational
energy, do some breathwork or yoga and feel your connection to the ground and the Universe. Journal
your feelings if you cannot share them but get them out of your head and onto paper.
When we are in the lower vibrational energy of Sagittarius, one of two things could happen: either we
want to believe that everything is going to turn out fine even as it crumbles around us or we become
aggressively righteous and extremely judgmental. Shedding these lower energies is what we strive to do
each cycle of the Moon. So how do we shed these particular energies? Through a simple journaling
Grab some paper and a pen, sit somewhere safe, and let the answers flow out of you. Don’t stop to edit,
don’t try to sound eloquent, just get the answers out.
1. What are 3 common judgments you form about yourself? Others?
2. What assumptions do you make about yourself and others when you judge? If you find yourself
using the work ‘should’ a lot, take note of what judgments you are placing on yourself and
3. What are you curious about: new type of food, a new hair colour, a new place to travel.
4. What holds you back from trying new things? If it’s fear, what would you try if you weren’t
Once you’ve done this, read your answers over carefully. What kind of affirmations can you make that
will allow you to let go of judgement of yourself and others, that will help you to try new things and new
experiences, and allow yourself to enjoy where you are in your life right now? Think it over, then write
them down. Keep them somewhere you can refer back to them if needed. Consider the affirmations you
write as a roadmap of what to work on for the next two weeks leading up the New Moon.
Sagittarius is a sign of travel, of wandering around and never getting lost, of being completely and
openly authentic, never ceasing to learn and expand her knowledge. This Full Moon, she is asking us to
open our minds and see things from other perspectives. Try to mix up your daily routine: take a different
route to work or order a burger instead of a salad at lunch. Small subtle shifts in daily patterns leads to
consistent growth in shifting old patterns to make room for new experiences.

The energy associated with a New Moon is one of completeness; the Sun and the Moon are in the same zodiac sign and provide a framework for creating a new beginning within the theme of the sign it occurs in. This might be too much energy, depending on the sign, but rest assured that this New Moon isn’t half as emotionally intense as some of her sisters.
The theme of this New Moon in Gemini is communications based. Gathering information is what Gemini does best and in this case, the info being gathered relates to evaluating emotional intelligence (defined as “the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically”). This practice encourages understanding what emotions feel like within your own body, naming the emotions being felt, and then encouraging distance from them to find out the cause. For example, where do you feel anger? Is it a hot lump in your throat that prevents you from speaking? A tight band across your chest that makes it hard to breathe? Something else?
Digging into how these emotions physically feel is necessary, since emotions change your vibrational energy and alter your capability for manifestation. Being angry prevents you from feeling gratitude, which is an essential part of most manifestation practices. Figuring out how these emotions feel in your body helps you define them and ultimately release them, bringing back stability and balance.
Consider also how you emotionally react to other people. What behaviours exhibited by others cause you to react? What is being mirrored back to you, and what lesson can be found there? By understanding emotional reactions to both internal and external stimuli, we can broaden our self-awareness. When we can see emotions as simply another avenue of information and can remain detached, then we can return ourselves to a place of balance when we are emoting. Not to say that feeling our feelings is wrong; it’s more of a finding out the why of them so we can remain in balance while experiencing the emotion.
What if you don’t know where you feel your emotions? Start by meditating on feelings of anger, sadness, joy, etc and discover where these feelings sit within you. Find a comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. When you are ready, conjure up a time when you felt really angry. Allow the anger to fill you and pay attention to what it feels like. Where do you feel it? Once you know what it feels like, thank your anger for keeping you safe and move onto another emotion. You may not be able to process more than a couple at each session and that’s okay. The important thing is to pay attention and recognize that your emotions are giving you key information about yourself. Once you have that information, you can literally change your life, one emotion at a time.
The Full Moon in Scorpio is an intense time for emotional transformation. An incredibly feminine sign, Scorpio asks you to look directly at your Shadows and find the balance between what they are protecting you from and what they are teaching you. Difficult to do in most circumstances, this moon cycle grants you a boon in that it pairs up the Full Moon, a deeply transformational Moon, with Scorpio, an intensely emotional sign that challenges you to break down barriers. What a perfect time for Shadow work!
This Full Moon has a sister energy to it as well. With the Sun still in Taurus, the energies we’re working with are centred around security and self-worth. While Taurus is concerned about self-definition through use of the material world, Scorpio desires to destroy the material in order to transcend and enter the spiritual realm. Don’t let that dissuade you from working with energies, though. These two are a powerful pair that will help you uncover your weaknesses so that you can destroy them and move forward.
Low vibrations of this powerful energetic signature are evidenced by obsession with resources (for Taurus, this is directly related to bank accounts; for Scorpio it’s about reshaping her mind through forgoing comforts in exchange for growth) as well as underlying fears around security. In a nutshell, the low sides relate directly to feelings of self-worth: Taurus places value on the things collected and Scorpio places value on what other think of her and will pay her, which sometimes involves changing her behavior to meet what she thinks is their standards.
This Full Moon, think about your own feelings around security and self-worth. Are you fearful that you will lose what you have, so you constantly try and get more in order to not go without? Do you measure your success by how many likes you get on social media or by comparing yourself to others?
Meditate on what you need to shift in order to let go of the low energy during this time. Once you have an idea of the things that you need to shift, try a release and gratitude ritual. You can do this however you want; there is no wrong way. The main point is to write down what you need to release: fears around money, relationships, your job, family, self-doubt, whatever it is and then burn the pieces of paper to release each item from your life.
You can be super detailed or write just a line or two. Have a safe place to burn the pieces of paper: I use a mini cauldron that is built to hold charcoal pucks but you can use pretty much anything as long as it’s fire proof and safe. Feed each piece of paper to the flames and watch it burn. Once you have done that, write down all the things you are grateful for. You can choose to keep those as a reminder or burn them as well: it’s all energy and there is no wrong way to do this. Finish with thanking the Universe or Higher Power or who/whatever you are aligned with.
The power of the Scorpio Full Moon is truly awe inspiring. Recognizing the low vibrational energies of this time and working to release these energies is essential in order to move forward with your life’s purpose, whatever that may be. Just remember, your practice is your own and the way you choose to implement these ideas (or not to, if that’s the case), is unique to you and therefore exactly what you need. Trust yourself.

After the chaotic Full Moon in Libra, we could all use a bit of peace and stillness. The New Moon in Taurus is here to provide that stillness by encouraging us to get grounded and be fully present in everything we do, both mundane and magical.
Part of the message of this New Moon is to be fully and completely immersed in each moment, for within that full immersion creativity is crafted. To find the stillness that encourages creativity, we must feel secure in both ourselves and our world around us. This feeling of security comes from knowing our worth and, through that, defining abundance in terms that resonates with us.
Different from self esteem, which is linked to ego and changes depending on situations, people, and circumstances, self worth is connected to our true essence and is essentially what grounds us during trying times. It is the basic building block of abundance, since we cannot feel abundant if we do not feel worthy of it.
Being grounded opens a gateway to attract abundance and creates a cascading effect. When we are grounded and in tune with ourselves, we feel more connected to our self worth which generates feelings of security. The security we feel allows us to invite abundance in, as we are ready and open to receiving more of what we feel we deserve. This can only happen from a place of stillness and grounding.
How do you define abundance? Take some time to decide what an abundant life looks like for you: it might be more free time rather than money, or being able to travel rather than landing the corner office. A good place to start is gratitude. Being grateful for what you already have signals to the Universe that you are open to receiving more. Making a daily list of things you are grateful for is a good way to start preparing yourself for abundance.
Other things to consider when setting yourself up for abundance: clear away the clutter in your space. Donate things no longer being used, thoroughly clean, and make physical room for new things to enter. Note: this does not mean filling it up again right away. This is more of a physical representation of your readiness for more things to enter your life, and not all of them may be tangible items.
Releasing limiting beliefs will also help in welcoming new energies into your space. Try rewriting your personal story with money or relationships or anything that you feel limited in being open to receive more of. While we’re on the topic of release, let go of any scarcity or feelings of competition: there is more than enough for all of us to share.
New Moons are about checking in on previous intentions we have set to see if they are still relevant or need to be either replaced or updated. This would be a great time to set intentions around your worthiness. The power of the Taurus New Moon is the realization that you are your greatest resource. Everything you need in order to achieve your dreams already exists within you and abundance begins by recognizing your own self worth.

Full Moons are a time of raising power, directing energy, and moving forward with intentions set at the previous New Moon. Because of the brightness of this phase, the Full Moon also sheds light on those things we need to focus on and shift our energy towards in order to attract what we desire. Depending on the sign the moon is in as it makes it way through a full rotation, each Full Moon will feel different depending on your own personal energy and where you fit on the yin-yang, feminine-masculine energy spectrum.
One of the most fascinating things about Full Moons is that during this time, the moon is always in the opposite sign as the Sun. For example, this Libra Moon sees the Sun in Aries, showing a balance between yin (feminine energies as seen with Libra) and yang (masculine energies with Aries). With the recent New Moon also occurring in Aries, it’s interesting that we have a continuation of this fiery energy to help us manifest the dreams we had during that time.
During the current Aries Sun season, we have had two Libra Full Moons, which is a bit out of the ordinary. This has given us a unique opportunity to work with this sign to further define our personal relationships with ourselves and others and release any energies that do not serve to assist in this process. The first Libra Full Moon asked us to look at the relationships we have with ourselves and with this current Full Moon, we are being asked to look more deeply at those relationships we have outside of ourselves.
Look at the connections we have with others. These connections can be anything from romantic partners, coworkers, friends, family, and potentially work itself or specific projects, as we tend to put a lot of our energy into the things we are working on. This Full Moon is asking directly, can you be yourself in each of these relationships? Can you be authentic and not hold back any part of yourself, for fear of being judged? Or do you find yourself holding your tongue, biting your lip, and staying silent?
When you cannot be who you are in any situation, it’s draining to your energy. It takes a lot of work to maintain the façade that comes with playacting and in the end, who benefits from that? Certainly not you. Take time this Full Moon to examine the balance you have currently, and decide what needs to change. It’s time to clarify what you need in each of the various relationships in your life.
We live in a world where other people are constantly around us and sometimes their energy affects us. Sometimes, we take on their energy, other times they take on ours. Finding the balance between give and take is essential here, as is ensuring that each relationship we participate in fulfills us and allows us to fully express ourselves. Evaluating current relationships and recognizing where your personal energy goes during interactions is the first step towards shifting that energy back into balance. For example, you might have that one friend that only calls you when they need help. To shift that energy, you could listen to them and then ask them what they plan to do instead of offering them advice. A simple shift in energy (from ‘fixing’ to ‘listening’) often results in one of two things happening: either the person figures it out on their own, or they get angry that you no longer offer to fix their problems and they stop calling/texting.
